Alpha-stage notice. SameTable is in friends-and-family Alpha. This policy reflects current honest practice but has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel. Production-grade text will land before the public Beta launch (July 2026).

tl;dr

We use one cookie — to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising cookies, marketing pixels, or third-party trackers. The website analytics we use are cookie-free.

Cookie we set

  • sb-*-auth-token (Supabase) — keeps you signed in to the SameTable web app. Strictly necessary for the service to work; under UK GDPR, no consent is needed for cookies that are essential for a service the user has requested. Removed when you sign out or clear your browser.

What we don't do

  • No advertising cookies.
  • No marketing or retargeting pixels (Facebook, Google Ads, etc.).
  • No third-party analytics that track individuals across sites.
  • No social-media share-button trackers.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which recipes get traffic. It does not set cookies, does not use device fingerprinting, and does not collect individually-identifying data. Only aggregated counts (visits, top pages, top referrers, country) are stored.

If this changes

If we ever add cookies or trackers that need consent (e.g. advertising cookies on the free tier), we'll update this page and add a consent banner at the same time.
