Terms of Service

What SameTable is

SameTable is a meal-planning app for households where everyone eats differently — meat, vegetarian, gluten-free, low-carb, and so on, all at the same table. We're currently in Alpha (small private beta), with a public recipe library at sametable.co.

Beta-stage caveats

• The service may be unavailable from time to time. There's no SLA.
• Features may change, be removed, or be reset without notice during Alpha.
• We may delete content or accounts at our discretion if they breach these terms (spam, abuse, illegal content).
• Don't rely on SameTable to store anything you can't afford to lose. Keep backups of recipes that matter to you.

Your content

You retain ownership of any recipes, photos, or notes you upload. By uploading you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display, distribute, and process that content as needed to run the service (e.g. show your recipe to other household members, render it on the public site if you mark it as published).

We may use anonymised, aggregated data about how recipes are used (cook frequencies, rating distributions, etc.) to improve the product. This data does not identify you or your specific recipes.

Acceptable use

Don't:

• Upload anything that infringes someone else's copyright (e.g. another publisher's recipes copy-pasted verbatim).
• Upload illegal, abusive, or harmful content.
• Try to break, exploit, or overload the service.
• Scrape the public recipe library for commercial use without permission.

Liability

SameTable is provided “as is.” We don't guarantee specific health, dietary, or allergen outcomes. Always check ingredients yourself if you have a serious allergy.We're not responsible for any loss arising from your use of the service, except where law requires us to be (e.g. for personal injury due to negligence).

Changes to these terms

We'll publish updates to these terms on this page. For material changes during Beta+ we'll notify users by email.
